In 1998, with a vision to build something enduring, Stan Morris started Peoples Mortgage Company from the ground up—initially a one-person operation. Over the years, his leadership has grown the company to over 475 employees, creating a culture of fairness, respect, and professional growth.

Stan’s journey is one of resilience and passion, from navigating industry challenges like the 2008 financial crisis to building a culture centered on trust and collaboration. Today, Stan serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, focusing on originating loans while continuing to guide the company with his philosophy: “Do a few deals, make a little money, and have a lot of fun.”

The leadership torch has been passed to Shawn Morris, who has been with Peoples Mortgage since its founding. With over 25 years of experience and a deep commitment to the company’s mission, Shawn has transitioned into the role of President and CEO. His focus on innovation and operational excellence ensures that Peoples Mortgage is well-positioned to meet the demands of a constantly evolving industry while maintaining the values that have defined us from the start.
